I was excited to visit DeskCo for the first and last time on July 18, 2025 early in the morning (as recorded in their intake form). Sadly, I was roped in by their excellent influencer marketing and glitzy reels. I had put the experience behind me until today when I saw another misleading reel on Instagram and left a comment underneath, which was promptly removed, instead of being responded to as a professional social media manager should. Although I like to encourage small businesses, this lack of accountability has led me to post a review here. Here's what my experience was like: There were NO working elevators and I had to go up to the 3rd floor through shady abandoned floors and dirty plaza stairs. The receptionist was unfriendly and seemed to have an issue with a walk-in like me. She reluctantly had staff switch on lights and fans in the left wing as the right is reserved for some company. The one AC they switched on kept malfunctioning. Both the elevator and AC issues were said to be due to lack of electricity and generator power: this is NOT my problem as I'm paying 2500 for BASIC amenities including power and internet. There was an AC technician constantly walking around and switching off lights/power randomly. The electricity issue was NOT resolved during the 4 hours I spent there. I asked her if there's a station with an external display, as advertised in their reels, and she said they no longer provide that. The intake form had to be filled in by hand. Payment was made via account transfer - no cards. I had to wait for the staff to finish their lunch (at 3 pm) so they could provide a printout (!) of the account details. The bathrooms were barely clean. Desks and chairs were old and worn. It was suffocating and hot and I was stuck in meetings until 3 pm so I had to stay there. The coffee/tea station and stable internet were the only good things. Both of these can be found in any cafe for way below 2500 rupees. I tried to ask the receptionist about the electricity and share feedback but it wasn't welcomed. I would not recommend this place to any serious digital nomads. And I would request the proprietors to be open to constructive feedback.
